ServiceNow Event Management Consultant is responsible to provide Development and Operations support for ServiceNow Event Management and related implementations based on the Evanios Event Monitoring solution which is integrated with our ServiceNow platform.Since this is a component (application) of ServiceNow, you will be working alongside the other ServiceNow modules such as the CMDB, Incident, Problem, Change and Request.

Role and Responsibilities

-Development and operations support for ServiceNow

-Event Rule Configuration (Event Management to receive external events from external sources)

-Configure MID Servers

-configure alert binding

-alert and impact rules analysis and setup

-set up the appropriate event filters, mappings, and rules.

-Configure Event Management dashboards for monitoring and remediation.

-Experience in EVANIOS, Nagios, BPPM, SMARTS, SCOM etc.,

-Experience in REST API, SOAP, Power shell, Python based integration

-Thirdparty integrations for alerts and events

-Customization of ServiceNow

-configuration of ServiceNow

-system monitoring

-performance tuning of ServiceNow and corresponding event monitoring tools

-incident handling

-request handling

-end to end BAU support

Essential Skills and experience

-Minimum 5 years’ experience in ServiceNow (Must)

-Minimum 3 years’ experience in Event Management tools (Evanios, Nagios, BPPM etc.,)

-Minimum 5 years overall IT experience (Must)

-Strong knowledge in ServiceNow Event Management development using most of the ServiceNow tools and features such as Event Rules, Filters, mapping, Plugins, MID Server configuration, Business Rule, Script Include, Client Scripts, UI Policies, AJAX, Glide Scripting, Java Scripting, Jelly Scripting, Angular JS, Widgets, Workflow, Catalog Development, UI Page, UI Scripts, UI Action, Inbound Action, Notifications, REST & SOAP APIs, Workflow Custom Activities, SQL, Database (Must)

-ITIL Foundation certification (Preferred)

-Integration of ServiceNow with external tools using Web Services & REST APIs

-Infrastructure Management

-Networking Management and experience in configuration LAN, WAN

-Network Topology and Architecture

-Backup and Storage concepts


-ServiceNow Implementation Certification (preferred)
