We have a great opportunity for API Evangelist.
To help shape and promote the API driven enterprise at AstraZeneca. The ideal candidate will have a passion for product management and aligning business strategy with technology capabilities. The candidate will need to work with various types of constituents, document their goals, and create user profiles.
The evangelist must be able to wear the technologist hat as well, sharing the API strategy and demand with different development constituents. The evangelist will need to translate the business strategy and goals into a plan of action to be shared with the API community.
The evangelist will be the face of the enterprise API approach, a liaison between the various communities involved, and a collaborative and trusted resource for them all. Additionally, they will serve as the gatekeeper for the enterprise API Repository, driving standards adoption, Enterprise reuse, and quality.
The candidate must satisfy the following requirements:
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
2+ Years Product Management or equivalent experience
3+ Years API or Microservices Development
2+ Years Project Management / Leadership equivalent
Product management experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Elicitation and documentation of business goals and needs.
API Governance or Product Management (Design Reviews, Roadmaps, and Vendor Communications)
API Versioning and Industry Best Practices, Naming Standards, i18n
Familiarity with industry standards: OAuth, Swagger, RAML
Familiar with API security and policies
Strong organizational / Planning Skills
Strong API & Microservices Development Experience
These Additional Skills are a Plus:
Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, PII, GDPR.
Requirements development experience. (Use cases, user stories, or standard requirements.)
Enterprise or Business Architecture Experience (capability modeling, BPMN).
Project Management experience.
Continuous Integration / Continuous Development
Familiarity with an industry standard API Lifecycle Management tool
Familiarity with tooling / platforms (MuleSoft, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring, Netflix OSS, ...)
