As Sr. Director, Market Access Governance and Enterprise Solutions, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. Reporting to the Market Access Vice President, this role will be responsible all aspects of operations for the MAGES team, including governance - Advanced Customer Engagement Review Team (ACERT) and Enterprise Network Governance Committee (ENGC), services contracting and program agreements, enterprise market access marketing assets including value propositions, and market access training strategy. The Sr. Director will implement new capabilities to ensure appropriate evaluation and analytics related to our services and programs, optimization of market access promotional assets, training, and coordination with commercial operations and insights.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and working with the other LT members and other cross-functional partners to simplify and streamline current processes, making the overall team more nimble and able to respond to a changing internal and external environment.

Responsibilities:

·Responsible for the oversight of two governance teams, ACERT and ENGC. ACERT provides a forum to properly evaluate Customer Services and Programs to ensure viability and compliance with laws, regulations, and AstraZeneca policies prior to exchanging value with a Market Access Customer. ENGC provides a centralized forum to ensure key stakeholder alignment and consistency of approach for the approval of specialty pharmacy and distributor network designs, decisions related to modifications to network membership, and performance reviews of the effectiveness and efficiency of the specialty networks.

·Oversee the contracting process for Market Access customer program/service agreements from ACERT approval through contract drafting, negotiation and execution in collaboration with program owners and key stakeholders in Market Access, Brand and Legal teams

·Work closely with Access Strategy and Customer Facing teams to develop and implement compelling and differentiated product value propositions and other enterprise market access marketing assets and capabilities across key market segments

·Responsible for the oversight of the Market Access training function, which includes development of short- and long-term training strategies for the Market Access department based on needs assessment and by working closely with the Market Access leadership team. Leads the contracting process for Market Access customer program/service agreements from ACERT approval through

contract drafting, negotiation and execution in collaboration with

program owners and key stakeholders in Market Access, Brand and Legal teams

·Creates measures and key performance indicators to assess impact on business of the training function for the Market Access area within AstraZeneca, which has a strong requirement and commitment to building strong capabilities and employee development.

Devises short and long term training plans for the Market Access department based on needs assessment and by working closely with the Market Access leadership team, and provides overall direction and control of all training activities.

·Directs, builds and leads teams to focus on execution of MAGES activities

·Effectively directs the management of agency relationships

·Ensures alignment of operations with other parts of the US Commercial Organization

·Develops and manages associated budgets in compliance with AZ finance and accounting requirements

·Has ultimate accountability for function

·Performs all company business in accordance with regulations and company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s Degree required – Advanced Degree preferred

·Strong understanding of the US market access landscape and the legal/regulatory environment for pharmaceuticals/biopharmaceuticals

·Minimum of 15 years progressive experience within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical market

·Ability to think strategically and to translate strategy into tactical implementation and to motivate people to execute on strategy

·Facilitate and manage multiple resources to meet goals and deliver expectations, use resources effectively and efficiently, and arrange information in a useful manner

·Teamwork and leadership skills, including the ability to gain consensus and act within ambiguous, complex matrix organization

·Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage diverse range of efforts simultaneously

·Results oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills

Willingness to travel domestically (up to 20%)
