As a Senior Administrative Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. North American Commercial is the 'face' of AstraZeneca and MedImmune to our many healthcare clients. They represent many of the most well recognized and respected products in the industry, and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Market Access, the Senior Administrative Coordinator (AC) provides the highest level of support to a member of the NA Senior Leadership Team (USLT). As a USLT member, the Vice President, Market Access, reports directly to the Executive Vice President, NA .

The Sr. AC serves as a role model to the AC peers and collaborates with a wide variety of people and projects. The Sr. AC serves as the primary point-of- contact to internal and external customers for requests pertaining to the office of the VP, Market Access.

The Sr. AC is often responsible for management of highly confidential and time sensitive requests/material.The successful Sr. AC is discreet, respectful and is able to respond, not to react to challenging situations.

The Sr. AC support for a USLT member is a fast paced, changing environment and is not a typical ‘nine-to-five’ position.Due to routine and urgent business critical requests, the USLT Sr. AC is often available for early morning and /or late afternoon meetings.The USLT Sr. AC will occasionally travel domestically and internationally.


•Utilizes extensive knowledge in a variety of areas to provide an advanced level of administrative support to one or more individuals within a specified department or departments.Support may include:generation of reports, filing, management of the administrative aspects of a department process or processes, coordination of conference calls and meetings, travel arrangements, records retention and file management, input and tracking of purchase orders, tracking of department budgets, processing of check requests and invoices through the internal system, ordering and managing of departmental supplies, expense report reconciliation, training class support, and general staff support.

•Responsible for organizing and coordinating meetings and events (local, U.S. and international), including logistics, hotel arrangements, and other details for senior management.

•Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations and Company policy and procedures.Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts and AZ employees in order to maintain the Company’s excellent reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.

•Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of AZ’s values, business priorities, processes, policies and practices, and proactively applies knowledge within own technical area to develop relatively advanced work results

•Assist with preparation and distribution of annual and mid year Performance Review communication and coordinate 1:1 Performance Review meetings for VP and his/her direct reports

•Provide full recruitment support for VP; serve as liaison between Human Resources, executive search agencies and internal/external candidates

•Provide ad-hoc specialist project based administrative support to Market Access LT and USLT


·Minimum of 5-7 years administrative, customer service and/or relevant business experience supporting senior leaders and/or executives

·Applies an advanced level of knowledge / skills to a wide range of interdepartmental responsibilities and serves as a resource to others.Contacts are frequent with AZ employees and members of senior management within AZ.Uses appropriate interpersonal styles to work collaboratively with colleagues and team members to achieve departmental objectives.Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement within specified department.

·High school or GED equivalent diploma required

·Two-year Associate Degree or proven equivalent experience

·Able to communicate effectively with ease and confidence

·With an eye for detail, manage multiple projects/tasks with virtual accuracy

·Has general knowledge of working globally within a variety of cultures

·Forward looking, results focused thinker

·Works well independently, but also works successfully in a team setting


·Business school certification or Associate’s degree.

·Bachelors Degree
