The Policy and Governance team within Finance develop, implement and operate ‘The Finance Library’ – a central portal which drives the standardisation, simplification and quality management of Finance Policy, Standards, Process and Procedures.

The Policy and Governance team is aligned to Global Process Strategy and Customer Engagement within Global Business Services (GBS). Appointing the very best talent to use and develop their skills and expertise in the right place at the right time is key to building on the success of the Finance Library and the success of GBS.

Role Profile:

As a Policy & Governance Manager you will drive the operation and development of the ‘Finance Library’. Partnering with Finance Global Process teams you will embed standard ways of working and support the Global Process teams in the creation and lifecycle management of policy and procedural documentation.

Engaging across a broad set of customers you will use your insight to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and further embed all elements of quality management.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support the operation and development of the Finance Library.

  • Work alongside the business to successfully embed standard ways of working and ensure adherence to the governance framework of the Finance Library.

  • Partner with global process teams, supporting the quality management of their procedural documentation

  • Actively engage and seek customer feedback.

  • Identify and deliver opportunities for improvement.

  • Encourage collaboration including facilitation of the cross-process governance forum.

  • Maintain and deliver training associated with the Finance Library.

  • Actively contribute to awareness and communication activities.

  • Experience of effectively operating in a global organisation with multiple teams and stakeholders

  • Exceptional organisational skills.

  • Technical acumen. Expertise in SharePoint and Visio as a primary preference.

  • Proven ability to manage and report information across multiple areas in support of key stakeholders.

  • An excellent command of business English and communication skills.

Desirable Experience:

  • Ideal candidates will have capability and experience in business process documentation and business process model systems.

  • Evidence of change management experience.
