AstraZeneca’s Finance function is on a transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations and insight. A new operating model is being established for AZ Finance, which includes the establishment of a new organisation, Integrated Finance Solutions. IFS provides services for FP&A, Record to Report to customers in Commercial, Science, Operations & Enabling Functions, Tax and Group Finance. The EMEA hub is being created here in Warsaw.

Role Profile

We seek for passionate finance leads for managerial positions in manufacturing.

As a Finance Lead you will be on managerial position and play an essential role in supporting the Head of IFS in creating the vision and implementing the strategy of the IFS centre along with building and managing the team. This includes supporting the recruitment and on boarding of the new team, supporting them through the transition period, building knowledge and being an ambassador of the culture within IFS & Finance.

You will be managing and developing a team of 15 analysts and responsible for the setting and agreeing objectives, coaching and mentoring of analysts and senior analysts in your team. People development and talent attraction/planning will be key to the future success of the centre.

You will be required to work closely with the Head of IFS to deliver timely and accurate reporting, provision of quality financial analysis and insightful commentaries to the business including reporting for the RBU/ABU, and to develop and improve those same processes over time. You will be ultimately responsible for the customer relationship and service delivery framework and be the point of contact for business unit escalations.

You will drive for business standardisation in process collaborating with the business and service delivery leads aligned to the customer requirements.

Essential

  • Recognised Financial Qualification

  • At least 5 years leadership experience working in a similar shared services and/or business environment

  • Significant relevant business and finance Shared Services experience, notably in Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Management of a team (required)

  • Manufacturing accounting experience is required

  • Strong commercial and business focus in a profit making organisation

  • Track record of managing complex business relationships

  • Ability to drive and manage change

  • Ability to think strategically and work with peers to create solutions for the Enterprise

  • A strong leader with excellent communication skills

  • Championed and lead continuous improvement initiatives in Finance

  • Fluency in English.

Desirable

  • Delivering and managing a Service Management Framework, creating a robust service oriented culture

  • Leading and managing the transition of countries into a Shared Services Operation and the integration of acquisitions

  • Good knowledge of finance transactional processes

  • Ability to speak more than one language

  • Living and working experience in different cultures

  • Availability to start work in less than one month from the interview date will be an asset
