We are seeking an experienced and professional Associate Directorfor Facilities to be responsible for the delivery of a diverse range of essential Facilities Management services both inhouse and outsourced for the AstraZeneca site in Warsaw.

AstraZeneca has been present on the Polish market for 25 years, and the dynamics of its development have accelerated considerably in recent years. In 2011 the Global Clinical Research Centre was introduced in Warsaw one of 6 in the world, and in 2016 we saw Finance and HR introduce centralized EMEA support offices.

The site has nearly doubled in size over the last few years, now employing 1300 FTE, and is only set to grow further. As Associate Director – facilities management you will work closely with the site leadership team, and be responsible for managing the service delivery of facilities across the Warsaw site. This includes services both inhouse and outsourced to ensure the smooth running of the site. You will be supporting internal events management, services provision, and complex growth plans for the site in terms of office space/layout.

Your approach will be proactive, customer focused and positive when faced with many challenges and cope with a demanding workload due to our ongoing growth in headcount as the site becomes one of our key locations in Europe.

You will ensure that new office space coming online is operational and in full working order, dealing with problems and issues from customers – including maintenance, space allocation, tables, room booking systems and typical administrative services required in the office environment.

Customer focus and the ability to be agile to adjust to the needs of the customers will be key in creating strong stakeholder relationships at a senior level to engage and understand future requirements to support the planning for future space requirements and facilities required.

You will liaise internally with higher level services to be delivered to site to ensure AZ has licence to operate, and work with internal services for example: procurement, IT, legal, internal communications & site directors. You will also ensure there are effective emergency management process is in place and be an active member of the site emergency response team.

Essential Requirements:

  • An individual of graduate calibre or with equivalent level of experience

  • Previous experience across all aspects of facilities management

  • Demonstrable stakeholder relationship skills

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing FM strategy and services

  • Ability to demonstrate influencing & negotiation to achieve results through third suppliers/service providers

  • Ability to lead and drive change

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high degree of integrity and trust

  • Project management & problem-solving skills

  • Resilience in the face of challenging customers

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change

  • Fluent English – oral and written
