The Talent & Development (T&D) Centre of Expertise (CoE) is part of Global HR and is responsible for helping AstraZeneca to develop the capabilities and skills we need to win now and in the future. It is made up of three teams:

  • Talent

  • Leader & Enterprise Development

  • Organisational Development & Analytics

The Talent team partners with the business to make sure that our T&D strategy is fit for purpose for each SET area. We also advise HRBPs on important processes like Succession Planning for Business Critical Roles, Talent Reviews and accelerating high potential employees.

Analytics plays a very important role in all Talent processes – it allows us to see how we are performing against our standards and scorecards and also helps us to analyse the impact of our tools and interventions.

We are now looking for a Talent Analyst to support the Global Talent team. Providing the team with accurate, relevant and timely analytics to support Talent processes is a pivotal role in the team and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work across all of the Enterprise. A key relationship will be with the Analytics team, who will support this individual in the discipline of providing insightful data.

The Talent Analyst will also be tasked with getting the most insightful data from Workday and will come up with new and innovative ways to support the Talent and HR teams from a systems point of view. We are looking for someone who is pragmatic, professional, can work at a very fast pace, is extremely comfortable with numbers/data and is able to gather information and present it in a succinct manner to internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Helps to coordinate and update succession management documentation including success profiles, business critical role lists and bench charts.

  • Maintains a repository of all succession materials to ensure agile sharing of succession candidates and speedy coordination of materials.

  • Is or can become an expert in Workday talent modules and ensures, monitors and maintains full completion of data. Supports the talent analytics from Workday.

  • Works closely with the Talent Partner and HRBPs to deliver Assessment and Development Centres.

  • Works closely with the Learning Directors, Talent Partners and HRBPs to deliver HiPo Talent Program.

  • Coordinates Development campaigns.

  • Maintains and disseminates talent resources and tools.

  • Supports the Talent & Development Partners with team co-ordination activities including travel and expenses.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Graduate Education

  • Data analytics and presentation to stakeholders – number crunching – good presentation skills (power point)

  • Worked in complex global environment / dealing with senior leader

  • Pragmatic individual

Desirable

  • Background in Talent development

  • Knowledge of using Workday/ HR systems
