As the Trainer, Access Services in Gaithersburg, MD you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. North American Commercial is the ‘face’ of AstraZeneca and MedImmune to our many healthcare clients. The Trainer, Access Services will be responsible for the coordination, delivery/facilitation, and implementation of training for the Access 360 team to include logistics, communications, material development (when applicable), documentation, and coaching.

The Trainer, Access Services will work closely with Operations Leadership to manage day-to-day operations in support of the Access 360 training program and related activities. Work collaboratively with the Operations team to create, execute, and manage a robust training program, including new hire and ongoing training, for Access 360 staff. Work collaboratively with Quality Assurance(QA) team to actively monitor/audit interactions on a regular basis for process/policy adherence, accuracy of information and validate support requests from customers were executed with a superior level of quality and customer experience. The trainer will also participate in calibrations, analyze QA scoring trends and identify appropriate learning, coaching or communications recommendations to address and close gaps. The trainer will fully understand QA scoring procedures and be able to effectively coach new hires while they are progressing through training certification and during their initial probational period. The trainer will work with training team to leverage the full capabilities of the Learning Management Systems to maintain adequate attendance and performance records to meet legal requirements for compliance reporting. Ensure all communications, planning, materials, and records are managed to meet the needs of the Access 360 department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience

  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of Training experience strongly desired

  • Relevant healthcare/insurance reimbursement experience with biologics

  • Be a highly motivated self-starter with the commitment to see projects to their completion

  • Customer Service or Customer Loyalty experience

  • Demonstrates creative thinking and a willingness to implement new approaches

  • Demonstrates strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • Ability to establish and foster successful coaching relationships

  • Requires computer expertise in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, & Excel)

  • Demonstrated pragmatic thinking: ability to integrate divergent information and develop project plans and actions

  • Excellent organizational and communication (verbal and written communication) skills;

  • Demonstrated initiative, dependable and flexible in an environment of continuous change

  • Highly motivated individual, willing to accept responsibility and to continuously learn

Preferred:

  • Master's degree preferred or relevant experience

  • 2 – 4 years of experience leading classroom training preferably in a corporate capacity

  • Experience in adult learning principles/competency modeling

  • Relevant Quality Assurance experience preferably in healthcare reimbursement

  • Billing/Coding background in buy and bill as Specialty Pharmacy market

  • Previous experience in other functions within the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry is preferred, e.g., case management, customer service & operations, etc.
