Now we are now looking for a Lung cancer Brand Manager in the Oncology business unit - located in Denmark, Sweden,Norway or Finland

Non-small cell lung cancer, NSCLC

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death. The prognosis remain poor and long-term survival rates are low. Approximately 10-15% of Stage IV NSCLC patients in Europe have EGFR-mutated NSCLC.

Stage III NSCLC represents approximately one-third of the NSCLC incidence and the majority of these patients are diagnosed with unresectable tumors. Stage III NSCLC are usually treated with curative intent. The current standard of care is chemotherapy and radiation therapy, followed by active surveillance to monitor for progression.

As Nordic Brand Manager Lung cancer you will contribute to AstraZeneca’s oncology business, one of AstraZeneca’s key growth platforms. In Business Unit Oncology we are committed to put patients first, deliver innovative health solutions and ensure a high medical value for Nordic patients.

In this role, you will be part of the Lung cancer marketing team, primarily by supporting the launch of IMFINZI (durvalumab), soon to be approved by EMA for treatment of stage III NSCLC (non-small cell lung cancer). You will also contribute to the success of TAGRISSO, recently launched in a second indication, first-line EGFR-mutated NSCLC.

IMFINZI is expected to be launched in stage III NSCLC, an area characterized by a high unmet need and few available treatment options. IMFINZI is expected to represent the only new treatment development in stage III Lung cancer during the past 15 years.

TAGRISSO was successfully launched in the Nordics 2,5 years ago for patients diagnosed with T790M-mutated NSCLC. In June 2018, AZ received EU approval for a second indication, EGFR-mutation positive NSCLC, based on

unprecedented efficacy data.

Key Accountabilities

Person in this role

  • Drives patient support projects & initiatives based on strategies for the brands,

  • Develops Nordic marketing material based on Global campaigns and specific Nordic brand strategies,

  • Co-develops new Nordic material with external agencies and provide relevant communication tactics,

  • Generates market insight together with local implementation team for the business unit,

  • Delivers brand- & campaign trainings in cooperation with sales- & marketing team,

  • Supports the Brand planning together with Brand managers,

  • Drives and executes local brand activities together with local implementation teams

In order to succeed in this role you have

  • A marketing/finance/science or pharmacy degree

  • Demonstrated several years of pharma marketing and/or sales experience

  • Proven strong sense for planning and execution

  • Good knowledge in Nordic market ethical rules & health care systems

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills - fluent written and spoken English

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, e.g. in Marketing

  • Proven track record of project leading capabilities

  • Experience from multicultural business environment
